Sarah Gibson of Boca Raton FL has officially accepted Zagaria Vocal Academy’s, “Student Of the Month” award for June 2015.

Zagaria Vocal Academy student, Sarah Gibson, had an exciting June when she was “discovered” by an event specialist and talent scout through Sarah’s Youtube video.

Word reached Bu Thiam (Rihanna, Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, and brother of Akron) who then flew to Boca Raton from L.A. for a dinner meeting to meet with Gibson.  Sarah and her mom invited me to sit in on the meeting.  Thiam was so impressed he expressed immediate interest in signing Gibson.  Thiam delivered Gibson a contract to record her albums within a couple of days of our meeting.  Part of the agreement was to immediately begin co-writing with Rihanna.

As her personal teacher, I was very impressed with Sarah’s handling of the pressure of meeting with a big time music personality, Thiam, who has a clear track record of success in the industry.  After much consideration, Sarah decided to pursue her dreams as an independent artist and not sign with Thiam.

Sarah is a sixteen year old singer/songwriter.  She has an amazing ability to write music, an incredible voice, and very good skills on both piano and guitar.  Gibson recently won first place in her school’s talent show a few months ago (Boca Community High School).  You can catch Sarah in South Florida, as she sings locally in Boca Raton, at various clubs that have open mic night, (The Grind Cafe and The Seed).
